CMHA Hall of Fame

• Nominees will have provided significant leadership through CMHA through offices held or through other services. The duration of the service of the individual as well as the magnitude of contributions will be considered. 
• Alternatively, or in addition to association services, nominees will have provided significant contributions in support of the growth of the concrete masonry and hardscape industry, including innovations.
• Nominees and recipients may be active in daily employment within the industry.
  • Hall of Fame inductees will be bestowed with CMHA Honorary Membership upon their retirement from active service/employment.
• Recipients should be associated with or retired from the association, a member company in good standing, or in the case of those companies that are no longer in existence, or a company that had a strong membership history with CMHA, ICPI, or NCMA.

• Open nominations are solicited through a newsletter, during meetings, email blasts, website, and special solicitation through the Board and the Past Chairs Advisory Committee.
• Nominations are due June 1 to be considered for possible approval at the Midyear Meeting and for presentation at the Annual Meeting or other such time as determined by the Executive Committee. 

• An Awards Task Group, reporting to the Executive Committee manages the review and approval process.
• The Awards Task Group is chaired by the CMHA Immediate Past Chair of the Board.
• Members of the Awards Task Group are appointed annually by the Chair of the Board, with consideration being given to the following:
  • Vice Chair of the Board
  • Representative of the Past Chairs Advisory Committee
  • Representative of the Membership and Meetings Committee
  • CMHA Director of Membership
  • CMHA President
• Nominations and deliberations shall be kept in complete confidence by the Awards Task Group.
• The Awards Committee makes recommendations regarding recipients and presentations to the Executive Committee.
• The Executive Committee forwards formal motions for approval to the Board of Directors.

• Generally, Hall of Fame awards and presentations should not be held more than once annually.

Posthumous nominations and presentations are permitted.

All individuals recognized previously by ICPI or NCMA as honorary members, lifetime achievement recipients, or Hall of Fame will be recognized by CMHA as Hall of Fame members.

• At the time of award presentation, recipients will receive a Crystal Award.
• The Awards Task Group will oversee award presentations and may consider the development of a video documenting the recipient’s contributions if budgeted funds are available.
• The name of the individual will be engraved on a perpetual plaque on display at the CMHA office.
• Ribbons designating Hall of Fame recipients will be made available to accompany name badges at applicable CMHA events, including the Annual and Midyear meetings.
• The Association will provide a complimentary luncheon to up to 8 immediate family members of award recipients at the time of their induction.
