CMHA has coordinated three separate events for our meeting attendees, spouses and/or guests to take advantage of during the open afternoon on Wednesday, July 29. Learn more about the individual activities and fees below.

Midyear Meeting Golf Tournament
12:00 PM Shotgun Start
Shuttles begin departing from hotel at 11:00 AM; Box Lunch provided
Cost: Tournament – $155 | Tournament + Golf Club Rental – $255
Be a part of the 2nd Annual Midyear Meeting Golf Tournament at the beautiful Thornapple Pointe Golf Club, a premier championship course nestled along the scenic Thornapple River just outside Grand Rapids. Known for its rolling fairways, pristine conditioning, and classic Midwest design that blends natural wetlands and mature hardwoods, this club offers a memorable and challenging round for golfers of all skill levels. Don’t miss this opportunity to get out on the course with fellow members—and maybe even win some fun prizes. Your registration fee includes transportation, 18 holes of golf, cart fee, range and ball fees, plus a boxed lunch. Golf club rentals are available for an additional fee.
Grand Rapids Walking Brewery Tour
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Walking tour departs at 2:00 PM (Meet in the hotel lobby at 1:45 PM)
Cost: $175 per person
Discover why Grand Rapids is proudly known as Beer City USA on this engaging walking brewery tour🍺. With an expert tour guide, visit three local breweries to sample award-winning craft beers while learning about the brewing techniques and creativity behind each pour, and enjoy the unique brews that helped put the city on the craft beer map. Walking between stops, your guide will share the fascinating 185-year brewing history of Grand Rapids—from the German immigrants who dominated the city’s early beer industry to the Polish communities who helped sustain it. Snacks will be provided at one of the stops and you’ll have the option to choose one full beer, compliments of our Brewery Tour sponsor. Tour Locations will include Atwater Brewery, CityBuilt Brewery & New Holland Brewery.
Reminder: This will be a walking tour so be sure to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes. You will be walking up to 3 miles throughout the 3-hour tour.
Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park
1:00– 4:00 PM
Bus transportation provided, tour departs from the hotel lobby
Cost: $60 per person
Experience the beauty of art and nature at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, one of the world’s premier horticultural display gardens and sculpture parks. Ranked among the most-visited art museums globally, the park features more than 200 remarkable sculptures set within stunning gardens. During your visit, you’ll explore Chihuly: Radiant Forms, a vibrant exhibition by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly showcasing dazzling works from his iconic series and highlighting more than four decades of artistic innovation. You’ll also enjoy a 30-minute hop on, hop off tram tour of the extensive gardens.
