Highest number of submissions to date highlights industrywide commitment to workplace safety
HERNDON, Va. (June 4, 2026) — CMHA announced the recipients of its 2025 Safety Awards Program, recognizing producer, associate and contractor members that demonstrated exceptional commitment to workplace safety throughout the calendar year.
This year’s program received a record number of submissions, underscoring the industry’s continued focus on maintaining safe, well-managed facilities and jobsites. In total, CMHA presented 232 awards, including 155 Platinum Awards, 53 Gold Awards, 10 Silver Awards and 14 Milestone Awards recognizing facilities with five or more consecutive years without an OSHA-recordable injury.
“Programs like the CMHA Safety Awards help reinforce the industrywide commitment to protecting employees, improving operations and sharing best practices across the concrete masonry and hardscapes community,” said Robert Thomas, president and CEO of CMHA. “By recognizing companies that prioritize safety every day, we help elevate standards across the industry while delivering meaningful value to our members.”
The Platinum Award, the program’s highest annual recognition, honors facilities that recorded zero OSHA-reportable injuries during the 2025 reporting period. Recipients included operations from 13 different companies, including 10 manufacturers and three contractor companies, which are not required to submit OSHA reports, but still maintain great safety culture.
CMHA also recognized facilities achieving Milestone Award status for maintaining five or more consecutive years without a recordable injury. Honorees included multiple facilities operated by TCC Materials and Oldcastle APG, with five locations surpassing a decade injury-free.
The awards program is open to CMHA members in good standing and evaluates safety performance based on OSHA recordable injury rates and DART rates, which measure incidents resulting in days away, restrictions or job transfers.
