CMHA Midyear Meeting Daily Recap: Day 3

Today’s programming was split into two areas: focus and fun. The day began with multiple committee and subcommittee meetings with conversation largely centered around efforts to support recruitment, certification, and visibility for contractors and smaller producers. Once the meetings wrapped up, it was time to get out and explore beautiful Naples, FL, through a variety of planned excursions and self-guided fun.

DAY 3 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Committee & Subcommittee Meetings — A lot was discussed in this morning’s meetings, including aligning marketing and technical priorities across member communities, contractor recruitment, the need for stronger outreach, and continued member-driven content and education efforts. Notable outcomes included progress on the MSV Installation Guide updates, discussion on making CMHA’s technical resources more trackable to support growth and outreach, and new marketing opportunities with CLUTCH.
  • Golf Tournament — Members hit the green at Tiburón Golf Club in the  afternoon to compete in our inaugural Golf Tournament for a chance to win bragging rights and some free swag.

  • Afternoon Activities — From sunrise yoga to kayaking through the mangroves to a boardwalk nature tour, members (and their spouses and guests) had their pick of outdoor adventures should they opt out of the tournament. Each activity brought its own unique fun — and, in this Florida sun, SPF was certainly a must!
  • Networking Events — But the fun didn’t stop there. Our Emerging Professionals Group gathered at Catch of the Pelican for a lively networking event before everyone followed the steel drum beat to the Vista Ballroom for our Night Out Naples Beach Party. The inclement weather wasn’t about to rain on this group’s parade. We ended up having the perfect island-infused night — with air conditioning as an unexpected, yet wonderful bonus!

LOOKING AHEAD

It’s going to hard to top a day like today with all the fun soaking up the sun, but our final day of the 2025 Midyear Meeting still has some exciting things in store. Members can look forward to a prayer group in the morning, sitting in on some final committee meetings, then end the day with the Board of Directors Meeting. A lot of great conversations are still ahead as well as final opportunities to connect in-person before we depart.

1st Place Team: Sam Hoehner, Jason Orton, Sean Rustad and Pat Sauter
